Common Problems With Spray Plastic Bottle And Their Solutions

Spray plastic bottles are used daily for most household chores such as cleaning of dishes, wiping off the glass etc.

However, the spray plastic bottles are not designed to be reused after usage which means they can’t be used for long, for you to ensure that the plastic spray bottles are used adequate, proper maintenance of the bottle is necessary.

Below are the problems encountered while using the spray bottles and how you will fix them properly, knowing all these fixes will help you maintain the bottles and finish using the materials inside of it.

1. Difficulty in releasing content

The spray plastic bottles operate on a simple pump mechanism. Basically, piston is usually attached to the nozzle or the hose inside the bottle.

Whenever you pull the trigger inward the piston attached to the nozzle moves in upward direction forcing the liquid to be released out of the bottle from the nozzle through the tube.

After spraying, and you immediately release the trigger, the piston will go downward to suck more liquid in the bottle for the next spray trough the tube.

If your spray bottle stops working it might be because of blockage from the nozzle, or the piston point had broken, or the tube isn’t reaching the liquid part in the bottle.

You will need to gently check the spray bottles slowly to take note of what could happen, if the pressure on the trigger is low then the seal is broken, if the tube isn’t touching any liquid, then it’s the length of the tube that’s shorten.

If the tube length reaches the liquid and the pressure of the trigger is still function and it’s seeming difficult to release liquid from the bottle, then the spray mechanism is blocked which should be replaced or repaired.

2. Fixing nozzle blockage and Cap adjustments  

If you notice that the nozzle is blocked, you need to check if the adjustments cap is in an open position or closed position.

Most time we forgot to check which position it’s and if it’s in open position and it failed to spray unscrew the nozzle from the spray bottle and fill the tube with the hot water not necessary boiling hot water it should be fairly warm.

Ensuring hot water in the spare mechanism, pull the trigger to release the liquid so it could clean and clear any blockage in the tube. If the nozzle is still not clear move to the next step.

Buy a bottle of white Vinegar and insert the spray mechanism inside it, let the ginger run through the pump of the spraying bottle.

Ensure the Vinegar is left inside the nozzle for 30minutes before washing away the acid inside will burn the clogs.

Lastly, use small pin to clear the clogs through the holes of the nozzle and the liquid will move freely.
